Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager – New Product Development (NPD) to lead end-to-end development activities for new projects involving electronics and electrical components. The incumbent will independently manage the complete product development lifecycle — from concept and drawings to validation and commercialization — while ensuring quality, cost optimization, and supplier alignment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) for electronics and electrical components.
- Independently develop parts based on drawings, specifications, and concept designs.
- Drive the complete electronics and embedded firmware development lifecycle , ensuring robust design and validation.
- Design and develop electronic circuits, embedded firmware (ARM, PIC), and PCB layouts.
- Ensure compliance with structured product development processes and stage-gate methodologies .
- Apply Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles to enhance product reliability, quality, and performance.
- Conduct prototype validation, lab testing, debugging, and product performance optimization.
- Ensure adherence to product testing standards, validation protocols, and quality benchmarks.
- Perform strong root cause analysis and structured problem-solving for technical challenges.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Mechanical,



Quality, Production, SCM) to ensure timely project execution.
- Drive cost optimization through design improvements and value engineering initiatives.

Supplier & Commercial Responsibilities

- Evaluate and select suppliers for electronics/electrical components based on technical capability, quality systems, and cost competitiveness.
- Demonstrate solid supplier selection and vendor development skills .
- Possess working knowledge of various materials/commodities used in electronics manufacturing , along with awareness of current market rates and industry trends.
- Support sourcing decisions by balancing technical feasibility, cost targets, and supply reliability.

Technical Skills Required

- Strong knowledge of electronics product development processes
- Hands-on experience in Embedded Systems & Firmware Development
- Proficiency in ARM & PIC Microcontrollers
- PCB design and development
- Familiarity with lab testing tools (Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Logic Analyzer, etc.)
- Strong understanding of product testing and validation processes
- Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies
- Expertise in structured problem-solving and root cause analysis tools
