Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, production machinery, and plant equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) and other industrial equipment.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical motors, control panels, wiring, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, and other electrical components.
- Perform electrical fault-finding and rectification to minimize machine and production downtime.
- Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and machinery.
- Carry out routine inspection of electrical panels, cables, connections, and machine electrical systems.
- Identify potential electrical issues and take appropriate preventive action to avoid equipment breakdown.
- Support troubleshooting of PLC-controlled machines, sensors, and automation systems.
- Attend machine breakdowns promptly and coordinate with Mechanical Maintenance and Production teams for quick restoration of equipment.
- Maintain electrical maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance check sheets.
- Ensure safe handling and proper use of electrical tools, testing instruments, and maintenance equipment.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, maintenance standards, and workplace discipline requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in electrical panels, maintenance areas, and around production equipment.




- Report recurring electrical faults and support root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.

Shift Requirement

Day / Night Shift

Candidates must be willing to work in rotational shifts and attend breakdowns as per operational requirements.

Working Hours

8 Hours / 12 Hours, depending on production and operational requirements.

Relocation

Candidates should be willing and prepared to relocate to Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, as per the requirements of the position.

Salary

Negotiable and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

Preferred Candidate

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrician, Electronics, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Experience in electrical maintenance of manufacturing or production machinery will be preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with motors, sensors, relays, contactors, MCBs, VFDs, and electrical control circuits.
- Basic understanding of PLC-controlled machines and industrial automation systems will be an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance of industrial machinery will be preferred.
- Experience with Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), CNC machines, or automated production equipment will be an added advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and a strong willingness to learn may also apply.
