Maintenance Head – Corrugated Box Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Maintenance Head to lead the maintenance function at our corrugated box manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum machine availability, minimizing breakdowns, implementing preventive maintenance, and managing the maintenance team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle overall plant maintenance activities for corrugation, printing, die-cutting, folder-gluer, stitching, cutting, and other production machinery.
- Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize machine breakdowns and production downtime.
- Attend and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related machine issues.
- Ensure maximum machine uptime, reliability, and efficiency.
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including technicians, electricians, and fitters.
- Maintain records of machine breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and maintenance costs.
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the Production Department to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production.
- Manage maintenance of motors, gearboxes, bearings, compressors, pumps, conveyors, electrical panels, PLCs, sensors, and other plant equipment.
- Plan and maintain adequate inventory of critical spares, consumables, and tools.




- Coordinate with external vendors and service engineers for machine installation, servicing, and major repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery and plant equipment.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction and energy saving.
- Prepare regular maintenance reports and present machine performance and breakdown analysis to management.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in plant maintenance, preferably in corrugated box, paper, packaging, or printing manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of corrugation and packaging machinery.
- Good troubleshooting knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and team management.
- Knowledge of PLC, VFD, pneumatic and hydraulic systems will be an advantage.
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent breakdown situations.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience Experience in a corrugated box / paper packaging manufacturing plant will be highly preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
