Role & responsibilities

Handle preventive and breakdown maintenance of PVC pipe manufacturing machinery.

Ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of PVC extrusion machines and mixer machines.

Carry out regular inspection, servicing and maintenance of extrusion lines and associated equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and operational issues during machine breakdowns.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery.

Ensure timely completion of planned maintenance activities to minimize machine downtime.

Maintain proper records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare parts and machine history.

Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance activities without affecting production schedules.

Monitor the condition and performance of critical machinery and identify potential failures in advance.

Ensure availability and proper management of critical maintenance spares.

Coordinate with external technicians, service engineers and machinery suppliers whenever required.

Maintain maintenance-related documentation, checklists and reports.





Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures during all maintenance activities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving machine efficiency, reliability and reducing downtime

Preferred candidate profile

Relevant experience in PVC Pipe Manufacturing is mandatory/preferred.

Hands-on experience with PVC Extrusion Machines and Mixer Machines.

Strong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to independently handle plant maintenance activities.

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems associated with extrusion machinery.

Positive understanding of maintenance planning, machine downtime and spare-parts management.

Strong coordination and team-management skills.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
