Job Summary:

The Mechanical Lead will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, spare-parts management, project execution, and team leadership. The role will focus on improving machine availability, minimizing breakdowns, and ensuring smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Maintenance

- Plan, supervise, and execute day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities of plant machinery and equipment.
- Ensure machines and equipment are maintained in safe and efficient operating condition.
- Identify potential mechanical issues and take timely corrective action.

2. Troubleshooting & Breakdown Maintenance

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns in machinery and equipment.
- Lead repair activities and ensure breakdowns are resolved within the minimum possible time.
- Maintain proper records of breakdowns, repairs, downtime, and corrective actions.

3. Preventive Maintenance

- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for machines and equipment.
- Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance activities.
- Analyze maintenance data to improve machine availability and reduce recurring breakdowns.

4. Machine Health Monitoring

- Implement and maintain daily machine/equipment check sheets.
- Ensure regular inspection of critical machine components and identify early signs of failure.
- Monitor machine health and initiate corrective/preventive actions wherever required.

5. Spare Parts Management

- Identify and maintain adequate stock of critical mechanical spare parts.
- Coordinate with Procurement for timely purchase of mechanical spares, consumables, and maintenance items.
- Monitor spare consumption and maintain proper records to control maintenance costs.

6. Project & Installation Activities

- Participate in mechanical projects, machine installation, modification,



expansion, and commissioning activities.
- Take responsibility for the complete execution of assigned mechanical projects from planning through completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors for successful project execution.

7. EHS Compliance

- Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with applicable EHS and safety practices.
- Follow and promote safe working procedures during maintenance, repair, installation, and project activities.
- Identify potential safety risks associated with mechanical maintenance and take appropriate preventive measures.

8. Team Leadership & Man Management

- Lead and guide the mechanical maintenance team to ensure smooth and efficient execution of maintenance activities.
- Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Build a strong teamwork culture and develop team members' technical and operational capabilities.
- Maintain discipline, accountability, and coordination within the maintenance team.

9. Maintenance Reporting & MIS

- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Generate reports/charts covering breakdowns, preventive maintenance, machine availability, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare monthly reports on mechanical spare-part and maintenance-item consumption and expenses.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide regular updates to management.

10. Root Cause Analysis

- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and recurring mechanical breakdowns.
- Identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Relevant experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing/industrial plant workplace.
- Candidates with strong hands-on maintenance and team-leadership experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
