– EXPEDITOR, OPERATIONS ABOUT THE ROLE The Expeditor is responsible for proactively planning, coordinating, monitoring, and expediting the end-to-end order fulfilment and delivery process. The role works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, logistics partners, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure shipments progress in accordance with approved delivery plans and timelines.
The Expeditor is expected to proactively identify potential delays and operational bottlenecks, implement appropriate mitigation strategies, coordinate timely resolution of shipment-related issues, and support the achievement of committed delivery timelines while ensuring compliance with applicable shipping, customs, and destination-country regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESShipment Planning & Coordination
· Review and validate shipping plans based on order requirements, shipment specifications, delivery timelines, and destination-country import regulations.
· Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of shipment and delivery arrangements.
· Monitor and follow up on the complete shipment lifecycle, including both inbound and outbound shipments.
· Coordinate order readiness activities, including quality verification, packing, labelling, and other pre-shipment requirements with suppliers, warehouses, and third-party service providers.
· Ensure advance arrangements are made for the timely collection of shipments from supplier and warehouse locations in accordance with the approved shipping plan.
· Coordinate shipment schedules with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to support timely dispatch and delivery.
Shipment Monitoring & Expediting
· Proactively monitor order and shipment progress against planned timelines and delivery commitments.
· Maintain regular communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other relevant stakeholders to confirm order readiness, shipment status, and expected delivery schedules.
· Identify potential delays, operational bottlenecks, and supply chain risks at an early stage and initiate appropriate follow-up and mitigation actions.
· Develop and coordinate practical solutions to minimize the impact of delayed shipments and ensure continuity of the delivery process.
· Escalate critical risks, delays,
and exceptions to relevant stakeholders and management in a timely manner.
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
· Prepare, review, and coordinate the required shipping and logistics documentation in accordance with shipment instructions and regulatory requirements.
· Obtain necessary approvals and clearances required for the movement of shipments.
· Ensure shipments comply with applicable customs regulations, import requirements, and international shipping procedures.
· Coordinate with relevant parties to facilitate smooth customs clearance and address documentation or compliance-related issues.
Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Management
· Investigate and coordinate the resolution of issues related to delayed shipments, inventory discrepancies, transportation challenges, documentation gaps, and other logistics exceptions.
· Act as a key coordination point between suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure effective and timely resolution of operational issues.
· Maintain proactive and professional communication with all stakeholders to ensure alignment on shipment status, action plans, and revised delivery schedules where required.
· Support discussions and negotiations with suppliers and logistics partners to achieve feasible and optimized delivery schedules.
System Updates & Reporting
· Ensure timely and accurate updating of shipment status, milestones, and relevant communication records in the ERP system.
· Maintain complete and up-to-date records of shipment progress, follow-ups, exceptions, and resolution actions.
· Ensure relevant internal stakeholders are regularly updated on shipment status and significant developments.
· Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc operational reports as required by management.
· Support the identification of recurring operational issues and opportunities for process improvement within the logistics and delivery process.

· Ability to effectively coordinate and follow up with vendors to ensure order readiness and support delivery in accordance with the required delivery date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· Experience or background in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or related operations is mandatory.
· Previous experience in an Expediting, Logistics Coordination, Supply Chain Coordination, or similar operational role would be preferred.
· Buyer or procurement experience would be an added advantage.
· Familiarity with international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and import/export documentation is preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple orders or shipments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
· A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering measurable results.
· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
