LINUX DEVICE DRIVER (LDD) DEVELOPER / LEAD
Location: Bangalore / Kochi
Experience: 3–8 Years

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Compensation
3–5 Years: Up to ₹15 LPA
5–8 Years: Up to ₹24 LPA

JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for skilled Linux Device Driver Developers with robust hands-on experience in Linux Kernel, Device Drivers and Embedded Linux systems.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience developing, porting, debugging and integrating Linux drivers across multiple hardware interfaces. Experience in the automotive infotainment domain will be highly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, port, integrate and maintain Linux kernel/device drivers.
- Work on Embedded Linux and Android Linux Kernel environments.
- Analyze and resolve kernel crashes, panics and system-level issues.
- Develop and debug drivers across various hardware interfaces.
- Perform driver porting and integration for UFS, Filesystem, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, UART and Display.
- Analyze kernel logs, crash dumps and system behavior to identify root causes.
- Work on Linux Kernel customization and configuration.
- Support integration of drivers with embedded and automotive platforms.
- Contribute to open-source development and Linux ecosystem components.
- Collaborate with BSP, hardware, middleware and application teams.
MANDATORY SKILLS
- 3+ years of hands-on Linux Kernel experience.
- Strong experience in Linux Device Drivers.
- Practical experience with Embedded Linux.
- Strong understanding of Linux Kernel internals.
- Experience with Android Linux Kernel.
- Understanding of Real-Time Linux and RT porting.
- Hands-on experience with Linux driver porting.
- Experience with one or more of UFS, Filesystem, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, UART and Display.
- Strong kernel debugging and crash-analysis skills.
- Experience with open-source Linux development.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Automotive Infotainment experience.
- BSP development experience.
- Experience with kernel panic and crash debugging.
- Experience with embedded automotive platforms.
- Strong C programming skills.
- Experience with boot, BSP and hardware bring-up.
CANDIDATE PROFILE The ideal candidate should be a hands-on Linux Kernel and Device Driver engineer rather than an embedded application developer. Robust practical exposure to kernel internals, driver development, driver porting and debugging is essential. Pay: ₹1,300,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per month
