About the Company

Leatherman Fashion Pvt. Ltd. is a first-class manufacturing and export house specializing in high-quality leather bags, wallets, small leather goods, and a wide variety of fashionable leather accessories.

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Leather Goods Production Manager who can independently manage the complete production process while ensuring quality, efficiency, timely delivery, and optimum utilization of manpower and materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end production of leather bags, wallets, and other leather accessories, from production planning through final finishing and packing.
- Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans according to confirmed orders and shipment deadlines.
- Coordinate production activities across cutting, splitting/skiving, preparation, stitching, assembly, finishing, checking, and packing departments.
- Ensure production targets are achieved on time and according to required quality standards.
- Monitor line productivity, worker efficiency, output, rejection rates, rework, and production delays.
- Allocate manpower and machinery efficiently to maximize production capacity.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take immediate corrective action.
- Work closely with sampling, merchandising, purchase, stores, quality control, and export teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.
- Ensure correct leather, lining, hardware, fittings, accessories, threads, adhesives, and packaging materials are available before production begins.
- Monitor leather and material consumption and minimize wastage.




- Maintain strict control over quality at every stage of production, rather than depending only on final inspection.
- Ensure products meet approved samples, specifications, measurements, workmanship standards, and buyer requirements.
- Supervise production of both bulk orders and current styles/designs.
- Guide supervisors, line leaders, craftsmen, tailors, cutters, and other production staff.
- Maintain production records and provide regular MIS reports on output, efficiency, WIP, rejection, rework, and pending orders.
- Ensure proper maintenance and effective utilization of production machinery and equipment.
- Implement systems to improve productivity, quality, cost control, and on-time delivery.
- Ensure production is completed according to the shipment schedule and export commitments.
- Maintain proper factory discipline, housekeeping, safety, and compliance standards.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in leather goods manufacturing, with significant experience in a production management/supervisory role.
- Strong practical knowledge of manufacturing leather handbags, wallets, SLGs, crossbody bags, shoulder bags, messenger bags, backpacks, and other fashion accessories.
- Thorough understanding of leather cutting, skiving, edge finishing, stitching, assembly, hardware fitting, finishing, and packing.
- Strong understanding of different types of leather, synthetic materials, linings, reinforcements, hardware, adhesives,



and accessories used in leather goods.
- Experience handling export-quality production and buyer requirements is strongly preferred.
- Ability to understand samples, patterns, specifications, construction methods, and production feasibility.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, line balancing, capacity planning, manpower management, and productivity improvement.
- Ability to identify quality and production problems quickly and implement practical solutions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a large production team.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven manufacturing environment with strict delivery deadlines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) The Production Manager will be evaluated primarily on:

- Achievement of daily and monthly production targets
- On-time completion of orders
- Production efficiency and productivity
- Rejection and rework percentage
- Product quality
- Material and leather wastage control
- Manpower utilization
- Production cost control
- WIP management
- On-time shipment performance

Preferred Candidate We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked with established leather goods manufacturing/export houses and have personally managed the bulk production of bags, wallets, and small leather goods.

The ideal candidate should be highly practical and factory-oriented, capable of being present on the production floor, identifying problems directly, managing teams effectively, and taking complete ownership of production targets, quality, and delivery.
