Role Description This full-time, in office Leather Technician role is based in Jalandhar and involves overseeing the technical aspects of leather processing and quality control.

The Leather

Technician will monitor tanning and finishing processes, conduct routine inspections of raw hides and finished leather, and ensure that products meet defined quality, durability, and safety standards. The role includes maintaining detailed process and test records, collaborating with production and procurement teams to optimize materials and workflows, and troubleshooting any processing issues that impact product quality or efficiency.

Qualifications

- Technical knowledge of leather processing, including tanning, dyeing, finishing, and quality testing methods.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, process parameters, and quality standards for leather products.
- Strong attention to detail, with experience in inspection, measurement, and documentation of production outcomes.
- Basic understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to leather and chemical handling.
- Relevant diploma or degree in leather technology, materials science, chemistry, or a related technical field.
