We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Lead Electronics Hardware to lead and strengthen quality assurance activities for electronic systems, subsystems, cards, and assemblies. The ideal candidate should have robust hands-on experience in electronics product quality, inspection, testing, failure analysis, and quality improvement, preferably within the Defence, Telecom, Railways, or Strategic Electronics sectors.

Role & responsibilities

- Preparation of QA plan for electronic systems, subsystems, cards and assemblies;
- Carrying out Hands-on QA activities during and after manufacturing before shipment including visual inspection, functional parameters checking, Environmental Testing etc
- Maintaining field failure and problem data, analyzing the failures, coordinating with product designer for improvement and problem mitigation
- Carrying out random inspection tests before shipment and Maintaining record for each batch
- Complete documentation covering various QA functions to be carried out and the method to be followed for each product
- Preparing MIS reports for sharing with Management and other stakeholders related to QA
- Calibration of Test & Measurement instruments, Test jigs & Fixtures




- Recommending and implementing improvements in current Quality Management Processes.

Preferred candidate profile

- Candidate have at least 10 years experience in carrying out QA activities for electronics products in industries catering to Defence, Telecom & railways.
- Personnel who have retired from defence PSUs like BEL, DRDO, IOL, ECIL, DGQA will be preferred.
- Knowledge of FMEA approach or other quality management approaches like Six Sigma, TQM (Total Quality Management), Kaizen (Continuous improvement) etc.
- Candidates from industries like automotive, consumer durables, contract manufacturing (EMS) will NOT be suitable
- Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/ M.Tech/Diploma in Electronics/Communications with minimum 65% marks
- Must be willing to relocate to Mohali;
