- Lead Engineer - Conversion/Migration to work under the direction of the Data Conversion Architect, driving the hands-on design, build, and execution of data conversion and migration pipelines for enterprise client engagements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL) and relational database design, with solid experience in data migration and conversion projects.

- Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to convert data between source and target systems, following the mapping and transformation logic defined by the Architect.

- Good working knowledge of data mapping, source-to-target transformation logic, and reconciliation techniques for large datasets.

- Collaborate with application engineers, business analysts, and QA teams to implement conversion scope and cutover plans.

- Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL Server stored procedures, indexes, and queries for high-volume batch processing.

- Proficiency with ETL tooling such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent, along with scripting (PowerShell/Python)



for data validation and automation.

- Good understanding of data quality, de-duplication, cleansing, and validation techniques.

- Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, or AWS RDS/Redshift) and hybrid on-prem-to-cloud migration patterns.

- Awareness of data security and compliance considerations during migration, including encryption at rest/in transit and access controls.

- Ability to execute rollback, dry-run, and phased/parallel-run cutover activities under the guidance of the Architect.

- Ability to maintain data lineage, mapping documentation, and audit trails for validation and sign-off purposes.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with experience resolving issues in large batch conversion jobs.

- Proficiency in writing unit/integration tests and validation scripts for data reconciliation (row counts, checksums, referential integrity).

- Experience with version-controlled database change management (Flyway, Liquibase, or equivalent) and CI/CD for database deployments.
