Lab Technician – Home Collection

Roles & Responsibilities

- Visit patients’ homes as per assigned schedules for blood sample collection.
- Verify patient details, test requirements, and collection instructions before collecting samples.
- Perform blood collection (venipuncture) safely and professionally while following proper hygiene and infection-control practices.
- Use appropriate vacutainers, needles, and other blood collection materials as per test requirements.
- Properly label, pack, and handle collected blood samples to maintain sample integrity.
- Ensure all required patient/sample details are accurately recorded.
- Handle samples carefully during transportation and ensure they are dispatched to the designated collection point for onward transportation to Chennai for testing.
- Follow prescribed sample storage, handling, and transportation protocols, including maintaining the required temperature wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper records of daily collections, samples collected, and samples handed over for transportation.
- Coordinate with the diagnostic centre/team regarding collection schedules, sample status, and any collection-related issues.




- Communicate courteously with patients and provide basic instructions regarding blood collection and post-collection care.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of collection equipment and ensure adequate availability of collection supplies.
- Report any sample rejection, collection difficulty, patient-related issue, or transportation delay immediately to the concerned team.
- Adhere strictly to Lupin Diagnostics' SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

Key Skills & Requirements
- DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / relevant laboratory qualification preferred.
- Proven ability to perform blood collection/venipuncture confidently.
- Knowledge of proper sample collection, labeling, handling, and transportation procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, as the role involves direct interaction with patients at their homes.
- Willingness to travel to patients' homes for sample collection.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow schedules.
- Qualified, courteous, and patient-friendly approach.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred/required, depending on the assigned territory.

Core Responsibility: Collect blood samples from patients at their homes, ensure proper labeling and handling, and safely hand over the samples for transportation to Chennai for testing.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
