The Knowledge Based Engineer I position is integral to our Shared Services Knowledge Based Engineering department, driving process automation initiatives. Under supervision, you'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their processes, gather requirements, and deliver automation projects. This role is key to enhancing operational efficiency and streamlining workflows across various functions.

Responsibilities

- Gather and understand requirements, review feasibility, and plan project execution under supervision.
- Develop standalone and integrated applications, macros, and plugins using .NET (C#), Python, VB, and other languages.
- Follow the software development lifecycle to deliver projects.
- Customize Microsoft Office suite applications and develop SharePoint applications using PowerApps and Power BI.
- Prepare work instructions, user manuals, and related documentation.
- Provide post-production support as needed.
- Adhere to best coding practices for high-quality deliverables.
- Demonstrate initiative to achieve individual and team goals.
- Align individual goals with department and organizational objectives.
- Comply with HR policies and HSE practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in knowledge based engineering development or a related role.
- Proficiency in .NET (C#), Python, VB, or other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with CAD/CAE customization is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint applications.
- Familiarity with PowerApps and Power BI is an asset.
- Robust problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
