Role Description The Junior Accountant role at Nine Hospitality is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai.

The Junior

Accountant will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including posting journal entries, reconciling bank and vendor accounts, and updating ledgers for multiple business units.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, tracking expenses, and supporting payroll and statutory compliance documentation. The role involves preparing basic financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities,



and coordinating with internal teams to gather financial data.

The Junior

Accountant will also help strengthen internal financial controls, respond to routine audit queries, and contribute to process improvements in finance operations.

Expected Salary : 1.5 LPA

Qualifications

- Strong foundational skills in accounting principles, general ledger posting, and basic financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel, including spreadsheets and basic formulas.
- Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
- Valuable analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; relevant internships or 0–2 years of experience preferred.
- Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other basic statutory requirements in India is an advantage, particularly within the hospitality or F&B; sector.
