Role & responsibilities

1. Excel Modeling & Templatization

- Build and maintain structured Excel models for reporting and analysis.
- Convert manual/adhoc files into standardized, reusable templates.
- Apply consistent formulas, layout discipline, and errorfree structures.

2. Data Structuring & Preparation

- Clean and organize raw data into standardized formats (Excel tables, clean headers, consistent data types).
- Create lookup/mapping tables and normalized structures to enable automation.
- Prepare inputs and outputs for dashboards, reports, and recurring processes.

3. Automation (VBA Mandatory) & Power Query

- Develop and maintain VBA macros to automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual work.
- Troubleshoot, update, and optimize existing macroenabled files.
- Use Power Query for importing, cleaning, merging, and transforming data.
- Maintain refreshable data processes for monthend and periodic reporting.

4. Dashboarding & Reporting

- Support creation of dashboards in both Excel and Power BI.
- Build charts, pivot tables, slicers, KPI summaries, and other visuals.
- Ensure dashboards follow visual consistency, clear layout, and business storytelling principles.
- Convert structured data into businessready insights.

5. Power BI Support (Beginner Level)





- Prepare datasets, relationships, and simple transformations using Power Query.
- Assist in building visuals under guidance.
- Learn and apply basic DAX formulas for calculated fields and measures.
- Support data refresh cycles and basic troubleshooting.

6. Collaboration & Coordination

- Work with various internal teams to understand data/reporting needs.
- Support endusers on templates, macros, and dashboards.
- Document processes clearly and communicate issues proactively.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Skills (MustHave)

- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, charts, formatting).
- Mandatory: Working knowledge of VBA (writing/editing macros, debugging, automating tasks).
- Familiarity with Power Query (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Understanding of clean data structures (Excel tables, normalized layouts).
- Good report formatting and visualization sense.
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and eagerness to learn.

Valuable-to-Have Skills

- Basic Power BI exposure (building visuals, simple modeling).
- Awareness of DAX formulas.
- Experience with financial, operational, or reporting projects/internships
