Role Description The Junior Compositor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. In this role, you will assist in integrating live-action footage, computer-generated elements, and visual effects to create seamless final shots.

You will work closely with senior compositors, CG artists, and animators to match lighting, color, and perspective, ensuring visual consistency across sequences. Daily tasks include refining shots based on supervisor feedback, optimizing layers and render passes, and troubleshooting minor technical issues in compositing software.



You will also collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards for all deliverables.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Compositing, including layering, color correction, rotoscoping, Paint/Prep and keying.
- Candidates should possess skills in Lighting and look development to ensure realistic integration of CG and live-action elements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Computer Graphics and Animation to understand pipelines, render passes, and motion aesthetics.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Live Action workflows, including familiarity with on-set data, camera formats, and plate management.
- Proficiency in industry-standard compositing tools (such as Nuke, After Effects, or similar software) is highly beneficial.
- Robust attention to detail, visual storytelling sense, and the ability to follow creative direction are required.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary VFX team are essential.
- A relevant experience in VFX, Animation, Computer Graphics, or a related field is preferred; a strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating compositing work is highly valued.
