We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer with 57+ years of experience and solid hands-on expertise in Java, REST API development, and EDI/X12 integrations. The candidate should be capable of independently understanding third-party specifications, developing integrations, and troubleshooting distributed systems.Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain applications and integrations using Java.

- Develop and integrate REST APIs with internal and third-party systems.

- Develop and support EDI/X12 integrations, including 204, 214, 990, and related transaction sets.

- Translate third-party API documentation and EDI implementation guides into production-ready solutions.

- Work with JSON, XML, and EDI data formats and perform data mapping/transformation.

- Troubleshoot integration issues across APIs, services, databases, queues, and external systems.

- Implement authentication, validation, error handling, logging, monitoring, and automated testing.

- Collaborate with engineering, QA, product, DevOps, and external partners.

Mandatory Requirements





- 5–7+ years of professional software engineering experience.

- Strong hands-on Java development experience – mandatory.

- Strong hands-on REST API development/integration experience – mandatory.

- Hands-on EDI/X12 integration experience – mandatory.

- Experience with EDI 204, 214, 990 or similar transaction sets.

- Ability to independently read and implement third-party API/EDI specifications.

- Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, HTTP/HTTPS, API authentication, and data mapping.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across distributed architectures.

- Experience with SQL, Git, API testing tools, and production support.

Nice to Have

- Experience in freight, transportation, or logistics integrations.

- Experience with TMS, ELD, or carrier APIs.

- Experience with additional EDI X12 transaction sets.

- Experience with SOAP/XML integrations.

- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, cloud, or event-driven architectures.
