nLocation: Saket
nWork Mode: Hybrid
nDuration: 1–2 months

nAbout Rancho Labs
nRancho Labs is building India's largest Robotics & AI education company, creating spaces where children think, design, tinker, build and innovate. We're now designing the Rancho Labs Makerspace — a space built for children to explore technology, engineering, robotics, creativity and hands-on making. Not another classroom, but a place that makes a child walk in and think: "I want to build something here."
n
nAbout the Opportunity
nWe're looking for a highly creative Interior Design Intern to take ownership of designing this Makerspace, from concept to execution — working closely with the founder and team on layout, interiors, furniture, workstations, storage, display areas, branding and overall experience. This is a real-world project: your ideas become part of a physical space used by hundreds of children. We want someone who goes beyond "looking valuable" to ask: how should the space make a child feel, encourage curiosity, make experimentation feel natural, and inspire the next generation of engineers and creators?
n
nWhat You'll Work On
n
n
- Overall design concept and vision for the Makerspace
n
- Space planning and zoning for different activities and age groups
n
- Functional areas: robotics/electronics workstations, tinkering zones, fabrication areas, team-oriented workspaces, display areas, storage, instructor areas, student interaction zones
n
- 2D layouts, 3D models and realistic renders
n
- Furniture, workstation, shelving and storage design
n
- Ergonomics and safety for children (Grades 3–8)
n
- Rancho Labs' brand identity across the physical environment
n
- Materials, finishes, lighting and spatial elements - balancing aesthetics, functionality, durability and cost
n
- Drawings, specifications and documentation for execution
n
- Coordination with the team and vendors/fabricators
n
- Iteration based on feedback and execution constraints
n
- Taking the project from concept → design → execution
n
n
nWhat We're Looking For
nSomeone passionate about interior, spatial and experiential design; extremely creative and experimental; excited to design for children and learning; able to think beyond conventional classroom spaces; strong in visualisation and 3D modeling/rendering; detail-oriented and able to convert ideas into executable designs within real budget/material constraints; proactive and ownership-driven; curious about architecture, product design, education, technology or makerspaces.
n
nTools
nComfortable with some combination of SketchUp / Rhino / 3ds Max / Blender, AutoCAD, rendering tools (V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, D5, Twinmotion), Photoshop/Illustrator, and Figma. You don't need all of them — strong design thinking and visual communication matter more than the exact software.
n
nCompensation
n₹15,000–₹25,000/month, determined by quality of work, design capability, experience and scope of contribution. Duration: 1–2 months.
