Key Responsibilities

Process Operations & Optimization

- Manage and optimize Silicon Ingot and Wafer manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience in Monocrystalline Silicon / Single Crystal Growth, Wafering, Wafer Slicing, Grinding, Polishing and Wafer Cleaning.
- Monitor key process parameters including Yield, Efficiency, Throughput, Cycle Time and Process Stability.
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, yield, and cost efficiency.

Process Improvement & Development
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process deviations and manufacturing issues.
- Implement long-term solutions to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
- Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) and analyze results for process improvement.
- Collaborate with R&D;, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams for new process and technology implementation.
- Support trials for current materials, equipment, and process methodologies.

Team Management
- Lead and mentor Process Engineers and Technicians.
- Ensure effective manpower utilization and alignment with departmental objectives.
- Conduct technical training and skill development programs.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Quality & Process Control
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, process standards, and quality requirements.
- Work closely with the Quality team to resolve process deviations and defects.
- Drive improvement in product quality and reduction of scrap and rework.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other applicable quality systems.
- Conduct regular process audits and reviews.

Equipment & Technology
- Support installation, qualification, operation, and optimization of process equipment.
- Experience with equipment such as:

- Crystal Growth Furnaces

- Wafering Equipment

- Wafer Slicers
- Grinding & Polishing Equipment

- Wafer Cleaning Equipment




- Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime and process efficiency.

HSE & Cleanroom Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environment standards.
- Follow cleanroom protocols and manufacturing safety requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to chemical handling, equipment, and process operations.

Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and present reports on process performance, yield, efficiency, and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation related to process parameters, trials, SOPs, and best practices.
- Communicate operational challenges and improvement opportunities to senior management.

Required Technical Skills
- Solid knowledge of Solar Silicon Ingot & Wafer Manufacturing Processes.
- Experience in Monocrystalline / Single Crystal Silicon Growth.
- Knowledge of Wafering, Slicing, Grinding, Polishing, and Cleaning processes.

- Strong understanding of

- SPC Statistical Process Control
- RCA – Root Cause Analysis
- DOE – Design of Experiments

- Six Sigma

- Lean Manufacturing

- Continuous Improvement Tools
- Experience in process optimization and yield improvement.
- Knowledge of data analysis and simulation tools such as JMP, MATLAB, or similar software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Experience & Position Criteria

Assistant Manager

- Experience: Minimum 6+ Years
- Strong hands-on experience in Solar Ingot and Wafer Process Operations and Optimization.

Deputy Manager
- Experience: Minimum 10+ Years
- Strong experience in Process Leadership, Team Management, Technology Implementation, and Manufacturing Process Optimization.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates from Solar Manufacturing / Silicon Ingot & Wafer Manufacturing industries are highly preferred.
- Experience in Integrated PV Manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Strong exposure to high-volume manufacturing and process improvement.
- Ability to lead teams and work effectively with cross-functional departments.
