Position: CNC Machine Operator - Fabrication

Job Objective

Responsible for safe and efficient operation of CNC Punching, CNC Drilling, Bending Machine, Bandsaw, and Plate Area fabrication machines to achieve production, quality, and safety targets as per approved drawings and standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Machine Operations
- Operate CNC Punching, CNC Drilling, CNC / Hydraulic Bending, Bandsaw, and Plate Fabrication machines.
- Perform machine setup, tooling, alignment, and job changeovers as per job card.
- Load CNC programs, set parameters, and conduct trial / first‑off parts.
- Handle heavy plates and sections using cranes and lifting tools.

2. Production Control
- Execute production as per daily plan and supervisor instructions.
- Achieve shift-wise productivity and minimize downtime.
- Ensure proper material identification and traceability.

3. Quality Assurance
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.




- Perform first‑piece inspection and in‑process quality checks.
- Ensure parts meet dimensional, hole accuracy, and bending angle requirements.
- Prevent rework, rejection, and material wastage.

4. Maintenance Support
- Carry out daily machine inspection, cleaning, and lubrication.
- Identify tool wear, machine abnormalities, and report breakdowns.
- Coordinate with maintenance team for corrective actions.
- Maintain punches, drills, blades, and bending tools.

5. Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all safety norms, SOPs, and PPE requirements.
- Ensure protected handling of plates, tools, and material.
- Maintain cleanliness and 5S in machine and plate area.

6. Documentation
- Update job cards, production records, and inspection reports.
- Maintain shift handover information.

Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Fabrication / Production Engineering.
- CNC machining certification preferred.

Experience
- 2-6 years experi
