Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant drafting software
- Create accurate technical drawings for structural components including beams, columns, foundations, slabs, and reinforcement details
- Collaborate with structural engineers and architects to develop comprehensive construction documentation
- Interpret and convert engineering sketches and specifications into detailed working drawings
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards (IS codes), and company quality guidelines
- Review and modify drawings based on feedback from engineers and site requirements
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation systems
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings for ongoing projects
- Assist in site visits when required to understand project requirements and constraints
Required Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering/ Draftsman ship or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Structural Draftsman (required)
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Knowledge of structural design software (Revit, STAAD.Pro is a plus)
- Understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods
- Familiarity with IS codes and building regulations
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structure detailing
- Good understanding of construction site practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Robust communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
