Job Description: Waterjet Loom Supervisor

Position Overview

The Waterjet Loom Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the waterjet weaving department, ensuring optimal machine performance, fabric quality, and efficient production. This role involves supervising loom operators, coordinating maintenance, managing production schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management
- Monitor and manage the operation of waterjet looms to meet target production levels.
- Plan and allocate work to loom operators based on production schedules.
- Ensure timely start-up and shutdown of looms.
- Maintain records of daily production, efficiency, and downtime.

2. Quality Control
- Inspect fabric quality regularly (weft density, warp tensions, defects).
- Ensure fabric meets customer and company quality standards.
- Identify sources of fabric defects and implement corrective actions.
- Train operators on quality-conscious practices.

3. Machine & Maintenance Oversight
- Ensure proper machine settings,

- Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Report mechanical issues and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and prevent contamination.

4. Team Supervision
- Supervise loom operators, helpers, and shift staff.
- Train new workers on machine operations, safety rules, and production techniques.
- Monitor operator performance, ensuring discipline and productivity.
- Conduct shift handovers and communication with other supervisors.

5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all team members follow EHS (Workplace, Health & Safety) protocols.
- Report unsafe practices and potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and operational SOPs.

6. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain shift reports, production logs, and downtime records.
