The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the smooth functioning, upkeep, and safety of all hospital infrastructure, equipment (non-medical), utilities, and basic electrical, plumbing, and civil works. The role ensures uninterrupted hospital operations, patient safety, and compliance with basic safety norms.

Key Responsibilities1. Electrical & Utility Maintenance
- Maintain and repair electrical fittings, lights, fans, switches, UPS points, and power backup systems.
- Monitor and ensure smooth operation of DG sets (basic operation & coordination with AMC vendors).
- Check power load, earthing, and electrical safety regularly.

2. Plumbing & Sanitation
- Attend to plumbing issues including leaks, blockages, taps, flush systems, and water lines.
- Ensure proper functioning of water tanks, pumps, and drainage systems.
- Maintain sanitation fittings in patient rooms, OT areas, wards, and staff areas.

3. Civil & General Maintenance
- Minor civil works such as patch repairs, tile fixing, door/window adjustments, and painting touch-ups.
- Maintain hospital furniture, beds, stretchers,



curtains, rails, and fixtures.
- Ensure all patient and public areas are protected and hazard-free.

4. Equipment & Asset Support
- Maintain non-medical equipment like ACs, exhaust fans, geysers, RO systems, elevators (liaison with AMC).
- Coordinate with vendors for major repairs and AMC services.
- Maintain basic tools and spare parts inventory.

5. Safety & Compliance
- Assist in fire safety checks, mock drills, and emergency preparedness.
- Ensure emergency exits, signage, and safety equipment are in working condition.
- Immediately report any safety hazards or infrastructure risks.

6. Emergency & On-Call Support
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls.
- Provide support during power failures, water issues, or infrastructure emergencies.
- Be available on rotational on-call duty if required.

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / C
