Our client, an American multinational consumer products company is looking to engage with a
Indirect Procurement Consultant.
Job Summary The role involves managing procurement activities for Marketing, Media, Customer Development, and Professional Services, including finding and managing vendors, handling RFPs and negotiations, achieving cost savings, and working closely with internal teams to meet business requirements.
Job Objective
- Develop Sub-Category Sourcing Strategies, and lead execution in the region.
- Enhance the Commercial and Qualified spends categories, by focusing on exceeding the Innovation, Efficiency and FTG goals; while optimally communicating with Collaborators.
Core Responsibilities
- Leading the development of Sourcing strategies for the mentioned categories and sub-categories for CP India.
- Identify and develop major Funding the Growth initiatives, gain alignment and delivers financial result to the bottom line
- Collaborate with internal collaborators and agency partners to develop the important metrics in order to give to the business
- Ensure regular updates of results, savings and specific projects throughout monthly reports and the utilization of the eSavings database
- Leading the engagement of the internal collaborators i.e. Marketing & Customer Development Managers to understand local business requirements and needs to build the pipeline of projects that have that highest savings potential
- Leading all Request for Information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) for the mentioned categories and sub-categories, and other procurement e-tools and processes such as Ariba
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
- Lead the strategic sourcing process for the mentioned Marketing, Customer Development, HR or equivalent experience & Professional Categories & Sub-Categories and contract negotiations in CP India
- Update/Refine the Annual Sourcing Strategic Planning Process, including all aspects of the category ie. Supplier Segmentation, Spend Deep Dive Analysis, Internal/External market dynamics etc.
- Acquire periodical category market intelligence insights, and perform annual benchmarking with external companies.
- Participate in Industry events to stay current related to procurement standard processes, and bring new insights to the organization.
Vendor Management
- Lead the implementation of SRM program initiatives for strategic vendors.
- Expand the pool of vendors to achieve simplification, and have a good understanding of regional/global vendor capabilities and geographical coverage.
- Track supplier performance
- Lead and track vendor simplification
- Working closely with the vendors in all categories and sub-categories to bring in standard processes in the areas of innovation, better than market deals, best-in-class service levels
Contract Management/Compliance
- Lead and supervise the effective contract execution and management.
- Lead and standardize regional eSourcing processes, build appropriate templates to facilitate the process.
- Coordinate procurement risk assessment on the category vendors and develop risk mitigation plans. Responsible for tracking of the supplier audits until full closure of findings.
- Make sure the team follows the Global Procurement governance in all projects, CRMC (Contract Risk Management Committee) approvals, eSourcing tools, Supplier Code of Conduct sign off, etc.)
- Handle ethical and professional relationships with vendors.
FTG
- Promote Innovation, Pursue Savings goals for the category, and supervise regional results.
- Implement Category and Sub-Category Brainstorming Sessions as a field
- Facilitate idea sharing in the region.
Alignment/Collaboration
- Collaborate with global IP teams for the said categories and sub categories, to secure full alignment.
- Keep a strong alignment and coordination with local Category IP Managers/Buyers, setting up priorities for the handled spend categories.
- Align with the Commercial Organization, globally and regionally. Call out issues/opportunities as needed. Follow Team member engagement standard processes to better understand the business needs and align on resources and priorities.
- Assist in Increasing the IP category focus, with clear critical communication
Effectiveness and Efficiency
- Identify/Support category process improvements that are required to achieve the Procurement goals.
- Spend analytics and reporting to be done on a regular basis

5. Background preferred:
- Minimum 4-5 Years of Procurement experience
- Minimum 4-5 Years of Marketing (Displays, POP Material, Premiums, Printed Materials, Market Research)/Media (Networking Media, Media Production, Digital, Programmatic Buying)/ Professional Categories (as mentioned above) Procurement experience
