Role: ICT & Makerspace Intern

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible ICT & Makerspace Intern to support the TIS team. The intern will work closely with the Lead ICT Mentor across PYP 1 to Grade 7, while also supporting Makerspace sessions and ensuring the smooth functioning and upkeep of the Makerspace.

Key Responsibilities

ICT Support

● Assist the Lead ICT Mentor during ICT classes from PYP 1 to Grade 7.

● Support mentor in setting up and preparing for ICT sessions.

● Assist students during hands-on activities, projects, and technology-based learning.

● Help students troubleshoot basic technical issues during sessions.

● Support classroom management and ensure students follow ICT lab guidelines.

● Assist with maintaining and organising ICT equipment and resources.

Makerspace Support

● Support Makerspace classes during non-ICT periods.

● Assist mentors and students with hands-on activities, projects, and making exercises.

● Help prepare and organise materials required for Makerspace sessions.

● Support students while they work with tools, materials, and prototypes under mentor supervision.

● Ensure the Makerspace remains organised, clean, secure,



and ready for the next session.

● Help maintain decorum and appropriate student behaviour within the Makerspace.

● Assist with organising student projects, models, tools, and materials.

Ideal Candidate

● Interested in technology, education, making, or hands-on learning.

● Comfortable working with children from PYP 1 to Grade 7.

● Patient, proactive, and willing to learn.

● Good communication and interpersonal skills.

● Responsible and attentive while working with students.

● Basic familiarity with computers and digital tools.

● Ability to work collaboratively with mentors and the school team.

● Prior experience with ICT, Makerspace, coding, or STEM activities is an advantage but not mandatory.
