Fluency in English is a Must.
About us
Graystone Capital arranges and structures debt financing for businesses across the GCC and wider region. We work with clients on trade finance, working capital, and structured credit, connecting them to the right funding partners.
The role
We're looking for an HR Generalist to own the people function end to end. This is a hands-on role in a lean team, you won't be handing work off to a department, you'll be doing it, from drafting an offer letter in the morning to sitting in on a difficult conversation in the afternoon.
You'll be the person who makes sure the firm is compliant, that people are paid correctly and on time, and that someone joining us from outside the UAE has a visa, a bank account, and a desk on day one. Discretion is non-negotiable.
What you'll do
- Run the full employee lifecycle, offers, contracts, onboarding, confirmations, transfers, exits, and final settlements
- Manage visa, work permit, Emirates ID, and medical processes end to end, coordinating with PROs and government portals
- Prepare and maintain employment contracts and ensure they reflect current UAE labour law and internal policy
- Own monthly payroll input and WPS submission, including allowances, deductions, leave, and end-of-service calculations
- Administer medical insurance, renewals, additions, and claims support
- Coordinate recruitment, job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, references, and offer negotiation support
- Maintain accurate personnel files, leave records, and HR documentation with absolute confidentiality
- Advise managers on disciplinary matters, grievances, probation reviews,
and performance issues
- Run the performance review cycle and keep KPI documentation current across the team
- Draft and update HR policies, the employee handbook, and internal communications
- Track compliance deadlines — visa expiries, passport validity, insurance renewals, labour card renewals
- Support leadership with headcount planning, cost reporting, and HR data on request
What we're looking for
- Three or more years in a generalist HR role in the UAE, covering both operations and employee relations
- Working knowledge of UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, MOHRE procedures, and WPS requirements
- Hands-on experience with visa and immigration processes — MOHRE, GDRFA, and free zone portals
- Strong drafting ability in English; able to write contracts, policies, and sensitive correspondence without supervision
- Sound judgement with confidential and commercially sensitive information
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word; experience with an HRIS an advantage
- Organised and self-directed — comfortable being the only HR person in the room
- Calm and even-handed in difficult conversations
- Experience in financial services, banking, or qualified services an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field
- CIPD or SHRM certification an advantage
- Arabic an advantage for government and PRO liaison
Why join us
You'll own the HR function rather than inherit a slice of it, and you'll work directly with leadership on decisions that shape how the firm grows. We're a lean team, so what you build here will be the way things are done.
