About the Project

Welfare and Empowerment of Tribal People through Large Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative Societies (WE-LAMPS) in West Bengal. The project aims at empowering tribal community in West Bengal through collective engagement in LAMPS and with improved access to livelihoods, financial inclusion and access to government support services for tribal communities, with special emphasis on women and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Communities (PVTGs).

About the Role

Job Profile - Community Educator
- In charge of the field level implementation of the project activities in the respective LAMPS proximity areas.
- Overall field level coordination and implementation of the project activities and ensure the continued access of Government Schemes and other social entitlement to the PVTGs.




- Work with community and stakeholder and ensure project activities are timely and effectively executed in line with project goals and objectives
- Make regular field visits and mentor village institutions & communities
- Participate in village level meetings and contribute to village development plan
- Identify village issues and facilitate discussion among community for the solutions
- Organize training/workshop/meetings as per annual timeline of the project
- Facilitate active participation of the community and local self-governments in the project activities
- Identify the volunteers and key community leadership and LAMPS members for meetings, trainings, and campaigns for better implementation of the project
- Steer all community level activities in the project focusing on Filed assessment, LAMPS awareness, SHG trainings, and regular awareness and facilitation for accessing government schemes
- Prepare and share reports, photographs and other project related information and data periodically to Project Lead and Project Ass
