Job description

Responsibilities:
1. Gamete handling and fertilization:
- Embryologists are responsible for retrieving, preparing, and manipulating eggs and sperm for fertilization.

2. In vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures:
- They perform the actual IVF process, including egg retrieval, fertilization, and embryo culture.

3. Embryo development and monitoring:
- Embryologists closely monitor embryo development, selecting healthy embryos for transfer.

4. Cryopreservation:
- They freeze and store embryos for future use, ensuring their long-term viability.

5. Quality control and data management:
- Embryologists maintain laboratory records, perform quality control assays, and manage data related to IVF cycles

KRA:
1. Lab Upkeep and Management:
- Maintaining a controlled setting (temperature, humidity, air quality) within the lab to foster healthy embryo development.
- Managing and organizing laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Ensuring adherence to quality control standards and standard operating procedures.

2. Gamete Handling:
- Retrieving and preparing eggs (oocytes)



from the ovaries.
- Collecting, washing, and preparing sperm samples.

3. Fertilization and Embryo Development:
- Performing insemination (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
- Monitoring and evaluating fertilization rates. Culturing and observing embryos as they develop.
- Assessing embryo quality and selecting suitable embryos for transfer.

4. Genetic Analysis and Assisted Technologies:
- Performing embryo biopsies for genetic testing (PGT-A,PGT-M,PGT-SR).
- Assisting with assisted hatching procedures.

5. Embryo Transfer and Cryopreservation:
- Preparing embryos for transfer using specialized catheters.
- Cryopreserving (freezing) embryos for future

Education

UG: B.Sc in Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, General

PG: MS/M.Sc(Science) in Bio-Chemistry

Work experience: 5-7 years

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
