Risk Assessment & Hazard Control:
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for non-routine tasks such as hot work (welding, grinding), confined space entry, and scaffolding.
- Conduct HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies and Risk Assessments for chemical processes.
- Carry out daily plant rounds to identify and mitigate "Unsafe Acts" and "Unsafe Conditions."
- Permit Management:
- Issue and monitor Work Permits (PTW) for maintenance, projects, and daily operations to ensure safety measures are active before work starts.
- Emergency Preparedness:
- Organize and lead Mock Drills according to the On-Site Emergency Plan (OSEP).
- Maintain and inspect firefighting systems, including fire extinguishers, safety showers, and fire hydrants (weekly/monthly checklists).
- Incident Management:
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and dangerous occurrences.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Training & Awareness:
- Conduct safety inductions for current employees and contractors.




- Organize "Toolbox Talks" and regular safety training sessions for plant staff.
- Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act (Gujarat Factory Rules 1963) and environmental norms (GPCB).
- Maintain Chemical Master Lists and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for all raw materials and finished products.
- Education: B.Sc. (Chemistry) or B.E./B.Tech (Chemical/Safety).
- Certification: A Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS or PDIS) is mandatory for this role in Gujarat.
- Experience: 2-5 years for Officer level, or 10+ years for Managerial levels in the chemical/petrochemical industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Chemical Safety, Fire Protection, and Industrial Hygiene.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 (OHSMS) and ISO 14001 (EMS).
- Knowledge of ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) and RO operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
