The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a legally qualified professional to work within the claims function of a dynamic and growing brokerage. You will provide oversight and guidance across claims matters, while working closely with claims consultants, insurers, and clients to ensure effective and claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on insurance claims matters
- Oversee and manage claims from lodgement through to settlement
- Review policy wordings, liability positions, and settlement terms
- Liaise with insurers, external solicitors, loss assessors, and clients
- Draft and review correspondence, including formal legal communications
- Ensure claims handling complies with regulatory and legal requirements
- Maintain accurate and detailed file notes and documentation
- Assist in improving internal claims processes and procedures
About You
- Admitted Legal Practitioner or Recent Law Graduate
- Experience in insurance law, claims handling is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and organisational capability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal/claims management systems
