About MRAI:
The Material Recycling Association of India (MRAI) is India’s apex organization representing the recycling and secondary raw material industry. With a membership base spanning across metals, paper, plastics, e-waste, and other circular economy sectors, MRAI works closely with various Ministries of the Government of India, NITI Aayog, and global trade bodies to promote sustainable recycling practices, policy reforms, and circular economy initiatives.
About this Role:
As an HR Executive, you will support the day-to-day HR function and employee lifecycle at MRAI, with responsibilities spanning recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, payroll and attendance coordination, employee benefits, HR documentation, employee engagement, and HR reporting. This is an on-site and full-time position based in Chakala, Andheri East, Mumbai, India.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
1. Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening
resumes, and coordinating interviews.
1. Coordinate with hiring managers on vacancies, candidate status, interview schedules and joining timelines.
2. Support offer documentation, pre-joining coordination and other recruitment-related administration.
Employee Engagement & Welfare:
1. Plan and execute employee engagement activities, including team-building events and
wellness programs.
1. Address employee queries regarding HR policies, advantages, and other HR-related
matters.
1. Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.
Payroll, Attendance & Leave Administration:
1. Coordinate monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, leave and other employee-related information, and follow up on discrepancies as required.
2. Assist with employee queries relating to payroll, salary slips, attendance, leave and routine HR processes.

Maintain accurate and timely HR data for payroll processing and internal reporting.
HR Administration, Documentation & Compliance:
1. Maintain and update HR policies, forms, employee records, documentation and HR trackers.
2. Support the implementation of HR processes and assist in keeping HR practices aligned with applicable labour laws and organizational requirements.
3. Prepare HR letters, documentation and reports as required and maintain appropriate records with confidentiality and accuracy.
Performance, Training & HR Reporting:
1. Support performance appraisal cycles, training initiatives and other employee development activities.
2. Maintain HR reports, trackers and dashboards using Excel/Google Sheets and provide accurate data for management review.
What we are looking for: Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, Recruitment, or a related function.
Skills:
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets for HR data management, reporting, and record keeping.
· Familiarity with HR operations, recruitment processes, employee documentation, payroll coordination, leave and attendance management.
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
· Knowledge of HRMS/HR tools and AI-based productivity tools is an added advantage.
Education: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources is preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field may also apply.
