Vijaya School for Excellence, Amravati, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Sports Department (HOD) to lead and strengthen the school's sports and physical education program.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the Sports Department, developing students' sporting abilities, organizing competitions and events, mentoring the sports team, and promoting fitness, discipline, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship among students.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the overall Sports Department.
- Develop and implement the school's annual sports and physical education program.
- Train and coach students in various indoor and outdoor sports.
- Identify and nurture talented students and support their participation in competitions.
- Plan and conduct sports events, tournaments, annual sports day, inter-house and inter-school competitions.
- Guide, supervise, and coordinate sports teachers and coaches.
- Prepare sports schedules, training plans, and activity calendars.
- Maintain sports equipment, facilities, inventory, and departmental records.
- Ensure student safety and discipline during all sports activities.




- Encourage students to participate actively in sports, fitness, and physical activities.
- Coordinate with school management, teachers, parents, and external sports organizations when required.
- Monitor and document student participation and sporting performance.
- Introduce innovative sports and fitness activities suitable for different age groups.
- Contribute to the overall development of students in line with the school's educational objectives.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a relevant field.
- 5 Years experience in a CBSE School workplace is preferred.
- Experience in sports department coordination or a leadership role will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of sports coaching, physical fitness, and sports administration.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and team-management skills.
- Passion for working with school students and developing young sporting talent.
