About Aurassure
Aurassure is a leading climate analytics company committed to building data-driven environmental monitoring solutions for smarter, more sustainable cities and industries. Our products and solutions are designed to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency while driving climate resilience and operational excellence.
Role Overview The Head - Manufacturing & Process Excellence will lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, assembly, and process optimization across all product lines.
This Senior
Management role is responsible for scaling production capabilities significantly while ensuring strict quality standards, implementing process excellence frameworks, and driving Lean manufacturing practices, to deliver world class environmental hardware and IoT systems efficiently. The position requires bridging technical shop-floor execution with strategic Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP;), cross-functional R&D; collaboration (DFM/DFA), EMS vendor management, and workforce capability building
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and oversee end-to-end manufacturing and production operations to consistently meet delivery timelines, quality targets, and cost efficiencies.
- Capacity & Resource Planning: Lead regular Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP;) meetings to gather future projections. Accordingly, build a robust production plan (monthly, weekly, daily) and manage the team to meet the sales target.
- Quality Assurance: Own end-to-end quality control across incoming raw materials (IQC), in-process assembly (IPQC), final quality assurance (FQC), and pre-dispatch inspection (PDI). Establish calibration protocols and burn-in testing workflows for multi-parameter gas, particulate matter, and weather sensors, ensuring full traceability. Drive a Zero-Defect policy across all Products, utilize 7 QC tools (Pareto analysis, Cause-and-Effect/Ishikawa diagrams, Check Sheets)
to analyze assembly defects and field returns (RMA)
- SOP & Scaling: Standardise, document detailed SOPs for each process and enforce that SOPs are followed in manufacturing workflows for any new and existing products/ customizations. Make capacity enhancement plans with appropriate intervention and budget approvals.
- Inventory Management: Build real time tracking of inventory at all SKUs and future visibility based on procurement plans while ensuring the balance between buffer stocks and inventory holding costs. Oversee real-time SKU inventory tracking across multiple warehouses, WIP stock controls, to integrate with internal ERP/ Equivalent system
- Vendor Management: Cultivate local supplier networks and oversight mechanisms to safeguard against operational bottlenecks, component lead-time fluctuations, and minimum order quantity constraints, payment cycle improvements.
- Cost Optimization: Partner with procurement leads to balance buffer stock requirements against inventory holding costs, optimizing working capital efficiency
- Process Excellence & Lean Principles: Establish, implement, and drive Process Excellence and Lean Manufacturing strategies (including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma) to eliminate waste and optimize throughput.
- Design Collaboration: Lead cross-functional initiatives with R&D; and Engineering to implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). Support during prototype builds and initial runs, delivering actionable design-for-assembly inputs to R&D; to optimize overall solution.
Also consolidate inputs from the service team, issues resolved and provide feedback for product upgradation.
- Engineering Change Management: Oversee Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Bill of Materials (BOM) updates, and alternate component qualifications seamlessly without disrupting active production plans.
- Performance Metrics & KPIs: Responsible for key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Inventory turnover, DPO, DIO, cycle times, and manufacturing cost per unit, OTD etc.
- Team Development: Mentor, coach, and build a high-performing manufacturing operations and process engineering team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Production, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 7–10 years of proven leadership experience in manufacturing, assembly operations, or process excellence. Experience within the electronics/IoT hardware manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Certification: MBA in Operations Management OR Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Master with extensive hands-on implementation experience will be advantageous.
- Technical Expertise: Proven track record of successfully scaling manufacturing processes from low-volume to high-volume production.
- Leadership Skills: Outstanding strategic leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and team management capabilities.
