Hiring for a Head of Marketplace for a leading client in Men's Ethnic wear.

THE MANDATE

This is a builder's role, not a caretaker one. The Head of Marketplace will own the channel end-to-end topline growth, profitability, operations, and expansion — running marketplaces as a self-contained P&L; with full accountability for revenue, margin, and working capital efficiency. The brief is to aggressively scale existing accounts, launch new geographies, and build the team and processes to sustain that growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketplace P&L; Ownership

- Own the consolidated marketplace P&L; — revenue, contribution margin, ad spend, commissions, logistics, returns,

and inventory costs — with monthly reviews against the annual operating plan.
- Set channel-level pricing, discounting, and promotional architecture, balancing growth with margin and

maintaining parity across D2C and marketplace channels. Domestic Growth (Myntra, Amazon India, and others)
- Own platform relationships end-to-end — category managers, JBP negotiations, event participation (EORS, BBD,

Prime Day, festive sales),



and visibility/placement deals.
- Run full-funnel retail media (Myntra Ads, Amazon Ads) with clear ROAS/TACoS guardrails, and evaluate current domestic platforms where unit economics justify entry.

International Expansion (Amazon US, Noon, Namshi, and others)
- Build and execute the international marketplace roadmap — market prioritization, platform selection, launch

sequencing, and investment cases per geography.
- Own end-to-end launch execution: account setup, cross-border logistics, catalog localization, local pricing, and

compliance. Operations, Analytics & Team
- Manage fulfillment model per platform (FBA, SJIT/PPMP, self-ship, cross-border 3PL) and keep operational health

metrics — fill rate, OTIF, ODR, seller ratings — green across platforms.
- Build a weekly/monthly performance dashboard and present channel reviews to the CBO and founders; hire,

manage, and develop the marketplace team and agency partners.
