Role Description:

- Conduct a site inspection to identify the suitable location for the 15U or 27U rack, cable routing path for Cat6 and OFC cables, and power outlet placement.
- Install the 15U or 27U rack as per the voltage class of that substation, at an appropriate location with proper ventilation.
- Identify the OT systems that will be connected to the network.
- Route Cat6 and OFC cables through PVC conduit, including all necessary accessories such as saddles, T-bows, and L-bows etc.
- Terminate the EnGenius switch and ShieldWorkz Resilient device inside the rack.
- Crimp Cat6 cables at both ends, including the user end and the Cat6 jack panel inside the rack.
- Perform keystone crimping, back box installation, and faceplate fitting at the user end.
- Use 1-meter Cat6 patch cords for uplink connections from the jack panel to the switch.
- Use 2-meter Cat6 patch cords at the OT systems or user end.
- Install cable managers in the rack to ensure proper cable routing in the Rack.
- Test all Cat6 cables to confirm proper connectivity.




- Number and label each cable for easy identification of user endpoints.
- PDU’s to be terminated at back angle of the 15U or 27U rack.
- Install the OFC LIU panel in the networking rack along with all pigtails.
- Install another LIU panel in the existing rack at the KPTCL site.
- Carry out OFC splicing at both ends as required.
- Test and label the OFC cables at both ends for identification and verification.
- Use fiber-optic modules for uplink connectivity to the switches.
- Arrange rack device stacking as per the attached diagram.

Qualifications:

- Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering for managing and supporting enterprise network environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to diagnose, analyze, and resolve hardware and connectivity issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security to implement and maintain secure network configurations and protect infrastructure from threats.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Design to plan, configure, and optimize network layouts and hardware setups.
- Robust understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching concepts, and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Experience with configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, racks and related network hardware.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate with diverse teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required.
