Description
We are seeking an Embedded Hardware Design Engineer to work on advanced aerospace, satellite, RF, and defense electronics systems. This role involves the design and development of high-reliability embedded hardware for mission-critical applications including satellite subsystems, electronic warfare systems, RF communication platforms, SDRs, power amplifiers, and aerospace payload electronics.
Candidates should have strong expertise in at least one of the following domains:
- RF and Microwave Electronics
- Satellite and Space Electronics
- Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems
- Power Amplifiers and RF Front-End Design
- FPGA and High-Speed Digital Systems
- Analog and Mixed-Signal Electronics
- Embedded Hardware for Aerospace and Defense Applications
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal hardware for embedded and FPGA-based systems
- Work on satellite subsystems including communication, telemetry, payload, power, and onboard processing electronics
- Develop RF hardware including transceivers, LNAs, filters, synthesizers, mixers, power amplifiers, antenna interfaces, and matching networks
- Contribute to electronic warfare and SDR-based systems involving wideband RF architectures and high-speed data paths
- Design high-speed multilayer PCBs with attention to signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC compliance
- Create schematics and support PCB layout using Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCad
- Perform hardware bring-up, RF testing, debugging, validation, and environmental testing
- Interface with FPGA, processors, ADC/DACs, RF transceivers, and high-speed communication interfaces
- Prepare and maintain design documentation including schematics, BOMs, qualification reports, test procedures, and manufacturing files
- Collaborate with firmware, FPGA, RF, mechanical, and systems engineering teams across the full product lifecycle
Required Skills (atleast three)
- Strong understanding of analog, digital, RF, and embedded electronics
- Experience with RF systems, microwave circuits, antenna matching, and RF measurement techniques
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, logic analyzers, and related lab equipment
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- RF and Microwave Hardware
- Satellite or Space Electronics
- Electronic Warfare Systems
- Power Amplifier Design
- FPGA and High-Speed Digital Design
- Aerospace/Defense Embedded Systems
- Familiarity with high-speed PCB design, controlled impedance routing, and multilayer stack-ups
- Understanding of EMI/EMC, thermal management, shielding, grounding, and reliability engineering
- Exposure to aerospace or defense-grade hardware development practices
- Familiarity with hardware validation, qualification, and environmental testing methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with satellite communication systems, SDR platforms, radar systems, or aerospace payload electronics
- Exposure to MIL-grade or space-grade design requirements and components
- Knowledge of communication systems, RF link budgets, and high-frequency design considerations
- Experience working on mission-critical or high-reliability systems
Preferred/Additional Skills:
- Experience in RF PCB layout and stack-up design
- Experience with SDR platforms or satellite communication systems
