Job Title

Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical Lead / Senior Developer

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical Lead / Senior Developer with strong expertise in Gosu, PolicyCenter configuration, customization, integration, and technical leadership. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable solutions, leading development activities, mentoring team members, and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of Guidewire PolicyCenter projects.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Configuration

- Design and implement complex business logic using Gosu, Guidewires proprietary object-oriented programming language.
- Develop reusable Gosu classes, enhancements, typelists, plugins, and extensions to enhance PolicyCenter functionality.
- Configure and customize PolicyCenter Product Model, Policy Transactions, Underwriting Rules, Rating, and Rating Worksheets.
- Design and develop PCF screens, input sets, UI flows, and user interface components based on business requirements.
- Develop and enhance batch processes, messaging components, and integration services.
- Implement integrations using SOAP and REST APIs and support Guidewire PolicyCenter integration with external systems.
- Analyze and resolve application issues, perform debugging, and optimize PolicyCenter application performance.
- Apply effective Gosu coding practices, caching strategies, and performance optimization techniques.

Technical Leadership
- Lead technical design and development activities for Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations and enhancements.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers on Gosu best practices, design patterns, configuration, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct code reviews focusing on performance,



readability, maintainability, scalability, and coding standards.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Guidewire development standards, project coding guidelines, secure development practices, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Identify technical risks and provide appropriate solutions and mitigation strategies.

Project & Team Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Guidewire PolicyCenter projects, ensuring timelines, quality, scope, and budget objectives are met.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, Product Owners, Architects, and client stakeholders.
- Participate in and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming/refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Track development progress, dependencies, risks, and issues using JIRA and Agile project management tools.
- Provide technical mentorship, performance feedback, and guidance to development team members.
- Prepare and present project status reports, technical updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to project leadership and clients.
- Support estimation, resource planning, technical feasibility analysis, and delivery planning.
