Roles and Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement functional safety plans, procedures, and standards for battery energy storage systems (BESS) to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify hazards and develop mitigation strategies for BESS designs.
- Conduct risk assessments, fault tree analysis, and failure mode effects analysis to evaluate the potential risks associated with BESS operation.
- Provide technical guidance on grid integration requirements for BESS systems.
Job Requirements :
- 3-7 years of experience in functional safety engineering or a related field.
- Solid understanding of battery technology, electrical systems, and power electronics.
- Experience with grid integration projects involving renewable energy sources such as solar or wind power.
