Job Title: GCP Data Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Location: India - Remote

Work Timings: US Central Time (CST/CDT)

Experience: 6+ Years

We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Engineer to join our team and work on a long-term project for a leading US client. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform, data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, BigQuery, Dataflow, Python, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Develop and optimize data processing solutions using BigQuery and Dataflow.

Build reliable ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing.

Develop data transformation and integration processes using Python and SQL.

Work with Cloud Storage (GCS), Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer/Airflow, and other GCP services.

Optimize queries, data pipelines, and overall data processing performance.

Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes.

Collaborate with Data Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, and other technical teams.

Follow best practices for security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.





Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum activities.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Solid experience with BigQuery.

Experience with Google Cloud Dataflow / Apache Beam.

Strong programming experience in Python.

Strong SQL skills.

Experience developing ETL/ELT data pipelines.

Experience with GCS, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer/Airflow.

Experience working with large datasets and distributed data processing.

Good understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Dataproc / PySpark.

Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.

Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Knowledge of Kafka or other streaming technologies.

Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience working with US-based teams.

Important Requirement

Candidates must be comfortable working during US Central Time (CST/CDT) business hours.

This is a 12+ month contract opportunity, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.
