Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced GCP Data Warehouse Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data warehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BigQuery, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and cloud-based data architectures, SQL along with hands-on experience in handling large-scale data systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable data warehouse solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Beam, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Perform data modelling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) for analytics and reporting
- Optimize BigQuery performance using partitioning, clustering, and query tuning
- Migrate data from on-premises systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) to GCP
- Develop and manage batch and real-time data pipelines using Pub/Sub
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards
- Collaborate with business and analytics teams to understand data requirements
- Implement monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting for data pipelines
- Support CI/CD processes and infrastructure automation (Terraform preferred)

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 6 to 9 years of experience in Data Warehousing/ETL Development
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP services:

- BigQuery

- Cloud Dataflow

- Cloud Composer (Airflow)

- Cloud Storage

- Pub/Sub
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python




- Experience with data modeling and warehouse design
- Hands-on experience with large datasets and performance tuning
- Experience in data migration projects to cloud
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins)
- Strong understanding of data security and governance

Preferred Skills

- Certification: Google Cloud Skilled Data Engineer
- Experience with Spark / Dataproc / Hadoop
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Soft Skills

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work in an agile and fast-paced environment
- Leadership and mentoring experience

Good to Have

- Experience migrating on-prem or legacy ETL to Spark/Databricks-based platforms
- Exposure to streaming or nearreal-time data processing

- Relevant cloud or data platform certifications
