About The Role

Join Data Eminence as a remote Game Developer and help design, develop, and optimize engaging interactive gaming experiences. You'll work on gameplay systems, game mechanics, user interactions, performance optimization, and debugging. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates with strong programming fundamentals, creativity, and an interest in game development.

As a key member of our development team, you will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to bring innovative game concepts to life. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and technologies, including game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine, while working remotely in a flexible environment.

Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, or a related field. While experience levels may vary, we welcome applicants with 0-2 years of experience in game development or relevant internships/projects. Strong programming fundamentals are essential,



along with familiarity with languages such as C#, C++, or similar.

Candidates should have a basic understanding of game development concepts, including gameplay mechanics, physics, and animation. Knowledge of version control systems like Git is required, and experience with game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot is highly desirable. Additional skills in 3D modeling tools like Blender, multiplayer networking, or mobile game development are considered a plus.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a remote setting are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities The core responsibilities of this role include developing and implementing gameplay mechanics and features that enhance user engagement. You will write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, ensuring that game systems function seamlessly across various platforms. Collaborating with designers and artists, you will integrate 2D and 3D assets into game environments, work on player controls, interactions, animations, and game physics such as collision detection.

Debugging and resolving gameplay and technical issues to ensure a smooth user experience is a key part of your duties. You will optimize game performance concerning memory usage and responsiveness, implement UI elements like menus and scoring systems, and incorporate audio and visual effects. Testing and troubleshooting gameplay features, documenting technical processes,



and supporting game builds, releases, and post-launch updates are integral components of your role.
