Role purpose

Full-stack developer on the DishTV ONE build writing production TypeScript across frontend and backend, building the customer, dealer and field experiences of a national entertainment platform on a modern open-source stack, with AI-assisted engineering from day one.

Key responsibilities

- Feature development build assigned features across React/Next.js web screens, React Native mobile flows and NestJS backend endpoints, working from OpenAPI contracts and the design system.

- Data & APIs write correct, efficient queries against the golden PostgreSQL schema via Prisma; handle validations, error handling and transactions properly; respect the one-service-one-schema rule.

- Testing & quality — write unit and end-to-end tests (Jest/Playwright) for everything you ship; fix defects fast; keep code review feedback loops tight.

- Contemporary delivery — work in agile product pods; commit through Git/GitHub Actions CI; deploy containerized services; learn Kubernetes, Kafka and observability tooling on the job.





- Migration support — assist senior engineers on strangler-migration tasks — data mapping, reconciliation scripts, parallel-run verification against legacy systems.

- AI-assisted engineering — use Claude Code daily for scaffolding, comprehension of legacy code, tests and refactors — and learn to review AI output critically.

Required skills & experience

- 1–4 years of software development experience

- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one of: React, Node.js, React Native — with genuine willingness to become full-stack.

- Working SQL knowledge and understanding of relational data modeling.

- Grasp of Git-based workflows, basic testing practices and API fundamentals (HTTP, REST, JSON).

- Learning agility and ownership — this team ships to millions of homes.

Preferred / good to have

- Exposure to PostgreSQL, NestJS, Next.js, Docker or any cloud platform.

- Personal or open-source projects that show product sense and code quality.
