Forklift Operator – Roles &

- Responsibilities

- Forklift Operation

- Operate the forklift safely for loading, unloading, lifting, stacking, and shifting materials.

- Move raw materials, finished goods, components, pallets, and other materials within the plant.

- Transport materials between Stores, Production, Quality, Dispatch, and other designated areas.

- Material Handling

- Load and unload materials safely from vehicles.

- Ensure proper positioning and stacking of materials in designated locations.

- Prevent material damage during lifting, shifting, and transportation.

- Follow specified load capacity and avoid overloading the forklift.

- Safety &
- Compliance

- Follow all company safety rules, traffic rules, and material-handling procedures.

- Wear required PPE such as safety shoes, helmet, reflective jacket, etc.

- Maintain safe speed and use the horn at intersections and blind spots.

- Ensure pedestrian safety while operating the forklift.

- Never operate the forklift under unsafe conditions.

- Daily Inspection &

- Maintenance

- Perform daily pre-operation checks before starting work.

- Check brakes, tyres, forks, hydraulic system,



horn, lights, battery/fuel, steering, and other critical components.

- Immediately report breakdowns, defects, oil leakage, or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor/Maintenance team.

- Keep the forklift clean and in good operating condition.

- Documentation &

- Coordination

- Maintain material movement and forklift-related records as required.

- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Dispatch, and Supervisors for material movement.

- Follow instructions regarding priority and location of material movement.

- General Responsibilities

- Ensure productive and timely movement of materials to avoid production delays.

- Maintain proper housekeeping around forklift operating and material storage areas.

- Park the forklift safely in the designated parking area after use.

- Do not allow unauthorized persons to operate the forklift.

- Perform any other material-handling duties assigned by the Supervisor/Management.

Pay: ₹10,137.25 - ₹29,401.33 per month
