Job Summary

Potful India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a smart, analytical, and detail-oriented Food Cost Controller with 2–3 years of relevant experience in food cost control, inventory management, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SAP, Advanced Excel, and MIS reporting, along with a good understanding of food and beverage cost control. The candidate must be comfortable working with large volumes of data, identifying variances, and providing actionable insights to the operations and management teams.

Hindi and English communication skills are mandatory.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Cost Control

- Monitor and control food costs across stores/kitchens.
- Track food consumption, purchases, wastage, stock adjustments, and inventory movements.
- Analyze actual food cost against standard/budgeted food cost.
- Identify unusual food cost variations and investigate the reasons.
- Monitor recipe costing, portion control, yield, and wastage.
- Work closely with operations and kitchen teams to reduce food wastage and improve cost efficiency.
- Prepare regular food cost analysis and highlight areas requiring corrective action.

Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor opening stock, purchases, consumption,



transfers, and closing stock.
- Analyze stock variances between physical and system inventory.
- Coordinate with stores and operations teams for accurate stock reporting.
- Conduct and support physical stock verification.
- Identify discrepancies, excess consumption, and potential inventory losses.
- Ensure proper documentation and recording of stock movements.

SAP Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day food and inventory-related activities in SAP.
- Review purchase, stock movement, consumption, and inventory data in SAP.
- Reconcile SAP inventory data with physical stock and operational records.
- Identify and report system/data discrepancies.
- Generate required reports from SAP for food cost and inventory analysis.

MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to food cost, inventory, purchases, wastage, and consumption.
- Develop management reports and dashboards for tracking key cost indicators.
- Analyze trends and provide insights to management.
- Maintain accurate and timely MIS data.
- Prepare variance reports and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders.

Excel & Data Analysis
- Must be very strong in MS Excel and capable of handling large datasets.
- Use Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF formulas, conditional formatting, data validation, and other advanced Excel functions.
- Prepare automated MIS reports and analysis.
- Consolidate data from multiple sources and identify errors or inconsistencies.




- Create transparent and easy-to-understand reports for management review.

Required Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in Food Cost Control, F&B; Costing, Inventory Control, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with SAP is mandatory.
- Strong MIS reporting and data analysis skills.
- Excellent/Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
- Good understanding of food costing and inventory management.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate variances.
- Good coordination skills with kitchen, operations, purchase, and finance teams.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
- Fluent in Hindi and English – mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Smart, analytical, and proactive approach to work.
- Strong command of Excel and ability to work with large data sets.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced food service/cloud kitchen environment.
- Good understanding of food cost, stock consumption, wastage, and inventory variance.
- Should be able to identify problems independently and suggest practical solutions.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Education Graduate in B.Com, BBA, Finance, Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field.

Experience

2–3 years maximum experience in Food Cost Control, Inventory Control, F&B; Costing, MIS, or a related role.

Languages

Hindi – Mandatory

English – Mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
