Role Description The Fire & Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division at Amanora Mall. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring fire safety and occupational health measures across the mall’s facilities, including retail spaces, entertainment zones, and public areas.
Responsibilities include conducting regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and fire drills; ensuring compliance with local fire, safety, and EHS regulations; and maintaining fire protection systems and safety equipment. The Fire & Safety Manager will investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports,
and recommend corrective actions. The role also includes designing and delivering safety training programs for mall staff, coordinating with external agencies and authorities, and supporting emergency response and evacuation procedures to protect visitors, tenants, and employees.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Industrial Safety skills to manage safety standards in a high-footfall commercial environment.
- Candidates should possess Occupational Health and Safety Training skills to develop, conduct, and evaluate training programs for staff and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills to analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Qualified certifications in fire safety or EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
- Experience in managing fire and safety operations in malls, large commercial complexes, or similar public spaces.
- Strong knowledge of local fire codes, safety regulations, emergency preparedness, and evacuation planning.
- Effective communication, training, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external authorities.
