SCOPE OF THE JOB

Strategic Roles & Responsibilities The Facade Engineer is responsible for supervision, coordination, and execution of faade works at site to ensure delivery within approved time, cost, quality, and safety parameters. The role focuses on faade systems execution, coordination with contractors and consultants, quality assurance, and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.

Facade Execution & Coordination

1. Supervise and coordinate site execution of faade works including curtain walls,



structural glazing, unitized systems, ACP works, louvers, canopies, cladding systems, and supporting MS/steel structures.
2. Ensure execution of faade works in line with approved GFC / IFC drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
3. Coordinate with faade contractors, consultants, and project teams for smooth execution and issue resolution.

Drawings, Materials & Quality Control

1. Review faade shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements prior to execution.
2. Inspect shop-floor and site activities as per approved drawings and quality standards.
3. Inspect incoming materials, verify manufacturer test certificates, and ensure compliance with specifications.
4. Carry out factory inspections at glass processing units, aluminium plants, and powder coating facilities as required.

Testing & Compliance

1. Plan, conduct, and obtain approvals for faade testing including performance tests as per BS, ASTM, AAMA, or other applicable standards.
2. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements during faade installation.

Planning, Monitoring & Reporting

1. Prepare and monitor detailed faade work schedules in coordination with overall project timelines.
2.



Monitor progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective measures to meet time and quality targets.
3. Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress and quality reports related to faade works.

Cost, Billing & Risk Management

1. Verify contractor bills with reference to approved drawings and executed quantities.
2. Review extra items and variations and coordinate approvals with the project team.
3. Identify execution risks related to faade works and support mitigation through proactive planning.

Safety & Site Management

1. Ensure adherence to project safety standards and HSE policies during faade execution.
2. Coordinate with safety teams to ensure safe work practices, equipment usage, and compliance on site.

Operational Responsibilities

1. Ensure implementation of company-defined systems and processes at site including documentation of DPRs, WPRs, MPRs, quality and safety records.
2. Coordinate with vendors for timely availability of materials and site requirements.
3. Support overall project coordination to ensure seamless integration of faade works with civil, MEP, and other trades.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Experiences

1. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in execution of faade works for commercial projects.
2. Hands-on experience in curtain wall systems, glazing, cladding, aluminium systems, and faade testing.
3. Prior experience in large-scale projects with complex faade systems is preferred.
