WE’RE HIRING CAD ENGINEER / DESIGN ENGINEER / CAD DRAUGHTSMAN Fire Protection & MEP Design

POWERTECH SYSTEMS, Trivandrum, fire protection system integrators and consultants serving since 1989, is looking for experienced and technically skilled candidates to join our Design & Engineering Team.

Qualification

B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in:

- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Other relevant engineering disciplines with suitable CAD/MEP experience

Experience Minimum 2–3 years of experience in preparing:

- MEP drawings
- Mechanical / Electrical engineering drawings
- Building services drawings
- Construction / services coordination drawings
- Or any similar engineering designs using CAD

Candidates having previous experience in Fire Fighting / MEP Design will be given preference. What You Will Be Working On The selected candidate will be involved in the design and preparation of drawings for various fire protection systems, including:

- Fire Hydrant & Wet Riser Systems
- Automatic Sprinkler Systems
- Fire Pump Room & Water Tank Layouts
- Fire Fighting Piping Layouts
- Fire Alarm & Detection System coordination drawings
- Fire Protection Equipment Layouts
- Riser Diagrams, Schematics and Details
- Coordination drawings with Architectural, Structural and other MEP services

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing AutoCAD drawings, layouts, schematics and detailed engineering drawings for fire protection systems.
- Studying architectural drawings, tender drawings, specifications and project requirements before commencing design work.
- Developing fire protection layouts suitable for actual site conditions and project requirements.
- Preparation and modification of shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built drawings.




- Coordinating fire fighting layouts with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other building services.
- Checking dimensions, levels, pipe routing, equipment locations and service clearances.
- Assisting the engineering team in quantity take-off and BOQ verification from drawings.
- Revising drawings based on site conditions, consultant comments and client requirements.
- Maintaining proper drawing revisions, documentation and project records.
- Coordinating with Site Engineers and Project Teams to resolve design-related issues during execution.

- Strong in AutoCAD drafting and engineering drawing preparation
- Capable of understanding architectural and MEP drawings
- Technically minded with good attention to dimensions, details and coordination
- Able to work independently on drawing revisions and project requirements
- Interested in developing specialised expertise in Fire Protection Engineering and MEP Design
- Organised, accurate and capable of handling multiple project drawings simultaneously
