About This Role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to work on software that directly interfaces with real-world hardware like sensors, cameras, and embedded compute platforms for mission-critical defence systems.

This is not an app-development or IT role.

You will be writing software that talks to physical systems, processes real-time data, and runs on embedded Linux platforms deployed in the field.

You will work closely with hardware, mechanical, and systems engineers to integrate sensors, perception algorithms, and user interfaces into a rugged, production-ready product.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Integrate and deploy tracking and perception algorithms on embedded Linux-based compute platforms
- Interface with and integrate IMU, range sensors, cameras, and temperature sensors
- Develop and optimize real-time data pipelines for sensor acquisition, processing, and visualization
- Integrate UI screens, menus, and system settings based on designs provided by designers
- Work closely with hardware engineers to debug hardware–software interaction issues
- Participate in system bring-up, field testing, debugging, and performance tuning
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented embedded software

What We’re Looking For

Mandatory Skills & Experience





- 2–5 years of hands-on embedded software development experience
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ (Python experience is a plus, not a replacement)
- Experience working on embedded Linux systems (device-level, not desktop apps)
- Prior experience integrating sensors (IMU, cameras, LiDAR, or similar)
- Understanding of real-time constraints, threading, latency, and performance optimization
- Comfortable working with hardware datasheets, schematics, and timing diagrams
- Experience debugging at the system level (logs, traces, interfaces, hardware bring-up)
