Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Assembly Intern to support the assembly, soldering, wiring and testing of the electrical and electronic systems used in our products and prototypes.

This is a shop-floor and laboratory-oriented role suited to someone who enjoys working with components, tools and physical products. The intern will work closely with our electronics, mechanical and product-development teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform soldering and desoldering of electronic components, wires, connectors and terminals.
- Prepare wiring harnesses according to wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
- Carry out wire cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, sleeving and termination.
- Assemble PCBs, sensors, switches, motors, power supplies and other electrical components.
- Support electrical integration during product and prototype assembly.
- Inspect solder joints, connectors and wiring for workmanship and reliability.
- Conduct basic continuity, voltage and functional checks using a multimeter and other test equipment.
- Identify and report loose connections, damaged components, incorrect wiring and assembly defects.
- Assist engineers in troubleshooting electrical and electronic issues.
- Rework or replace components under the guidance of the engineering team.
- Maintain clear records of assembly, test results, defects and corrective actions.
- Follow ESD, electrical-safety, tool-handling and workplace-safety procedures.




- Maintain an organised and clean electronics workbench.

Candidate Profile
- ITI, Diploma or undergraduate qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, ECE, EEE, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of electronic components, electrical wiring and circuit diagrams.
- Familiarity with soldering irons, crimping tools, wire strippers and multimeters.
- Good hand skills, attention to detail and patience while performing repetitive work.
- Willingness to work directly on prototypes and production units.
- Ability to follow written assembly instructions and engineering drawings.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback and work collaboratively.

Preferred Skills
- Prior experience with PCB soldering, wiring harnesses or electrical-panel assembly.
- Familiarity with sensors, motors, relays, connectors and low-voltage power systems.
- Experience with product assembly, repair, maintenance or laboratory projects.
- Understanding of ESD precautions and electrical-safety practices.

Internship Terms

- The role requires regular presence at Mankomb’s Bengaluru facility.
- Stipend and other applicable terms will be communicated during the selection process.
- Successful completion of the internship does not automatically guarantee permanent employment. Future opportunities may be considered depending on performance and organisational requirements.
