Job Summary The Planning Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for monitoring and planning the electrical infrastructure of telecom tower sites. The role involves reviewing the availability and utilization of electrical units/equipment installed at tower locations, analyzing operational data, preparing MIS reports, and supporting planning activities to ensure optimum network performance and efficient resource utilization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Monitor and track the electrical units installed at telecom tower sites (DG sets, Batteries, SMPS, Rectifiers, Power Plants, etc.).

Review tower-wise equipment details and ensure accurate maintenance of planning records.

Analyze electrical infrastructure data to identify capacity gaps, underutilized assets, and upgrade requirements.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly planning and MIS reports.

Coordinate with Operations, Field Maintenance, Implementation, and Project teams to obtain updated site information.

Validate and maintain data accuracy in planning tools, spreadsheets, and internal systems.

Generate reports on equipment availability, utilization, installation status,



and pending activities.

Support capacity planning and electrical infrastructure expansion based on business requirements.

Maintain documentation related to electrical planning, asset records, and project updates.

Assist management by providing analytical reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc planning data for decision-making.

Ensure compliance with company standards, quality guidelines, and documentation processes.

Skills & Competencies:

Good understanding of telecom tower electrical infrastructure.

Knowledge of telecom power systems, including DG Sets, Battery Banks, SMPS, Rectifiers, Power Plants, and Energy Metering.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, IF formulas, Charts, and Dashboards).

Experience in MIS reporting and data analysis.

Positive analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

High attention to detail and data accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple reports and meet deadlines.
